The benefits of breastfeeding

The benefits of breastfeeding are numerous for both baby and the mother. Breast milk is unique as it changes in order to better meet the needs as the baby grows.  Breastfeeding is recommended exclusively for the first 6 months.  After 6 months, breastfeeding can continue until the age of two along with the gradual introduction of solid foods.
