Accessibility enables individuals with specific difficulties to access the information available on the site. It also helps overcome certain technical constraints to facilitate navigation.

The CIUSSS website adheres to HTML5 and CSS standards recommended by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

The site also complies with current web accessibility guidelines and the Web Accessibility Standard (SGQRI 008 3.0). These development standards allow access to information through voice browsers, screen readers, and braille displays used by people with disabilities. Constant efforts are made to improve or maintain accessibility standards.

Non-compliant content

For various reasons, some of the site’s content does not comply with accessibility standards. These contents are:

  • Search engine;
  • Certain downloadable documents*;
  • Cartographic content (geomatics);
  • Playful or non-informative elements coded in Flash or JavaScript;
  • Audiovisual documents.

*Some downloadable documents may not be accessible. We are working to make future documents compliant with the Standard. An accessible version can be provided upon request by email at: communications.ciusss02@ssss.gouv.qc.ca.

Action plan

Our Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (2023-2028) (in French only) aims to address the different needs of people living with disabilities and to implement concrete solutions for continuous improvement in accessibility.
