Prenatal

Pregnancy is divided into 3 trimesters.

The first trimester extends until the 14th week. At the 5th week, the fetal heart begins to beat. At the end of the first trimester, the fetus measures approximately 8.5 cm.

The second trimester extends from the 15th to the 28th week and growth accelerates.  The fetus moves and the movements are felt. At the end of this trimester, the fetus measures around 25 cm and weighs around 1 kilogram.

The third trimester extends from the 29th to the 40th week and again there is movement, and this is felt. The fetus measures approximately 50 cm and weighs 3 to 4 kilograms.
